Paolo Luciano

Paolo Luciano is a visionary artist from Toronto. His work surrounds his curiosity of sacred geometry and spirituality. Paolo’s visual interpretation is a homage to the classical style of gothic tracery through the use of oils. Historically this style has been perceived and linked to places of worship, and preserved through architectural feats. By reinterpreting the connection between tracery and its roots in religion, the purpose of this work is to redefine it's connection to the sacred and the journey through the inner plain sought out by our curiousity to explore the self and discover the soul. Combined with realism, the depiction of the third eye encompassed in a vessel perceives the mystical visions induced by a state of transcendental awakening.
